I have gathered the information related to chains and chain maille, that I have developed from over 10 years of chain making, teaching, and selling, and made it available on a CD, and on a USB thumb drive. The archives contain basic directions for 96+ weaves and variations, 103+ detailed tutorials, and 169+ projects for bracelets, earrings, and pendants using these weaves.
A browser driven front end provides easy access to navigate through the archives. All the tutorials and projects are available in pdf format, and can be printed to make them easier to view while working.
The Chain Maille Archives CD runs on a PC compatible computer. Simply insert the CD into a CD drive. If the web browser does not start automatically, navigate to the CD drive on your computer, and double-click on the file "StartHere.html". Several Mac users have reported that the data files are accessible on a Mac, but that the browser front end cannot be executed.
The Chain Maille Archives USB runs on either a PC compatible computer or an Apple Mac. Simply insert the USB stick into a USB slot, navigate to the USB drive on your computer, and double-click "StartHere.html". The files are also accessable on an iPad and an iPhone using a USB Camera Adapter, although on the iPhone and the iPad the browser front end cannot be executed.
